QUANTUMELDERS CONSCIOUSNESS VACCINE (Karlton Hester director, story & composer/performer; Rebecca Nie videographer/visual artist): We are creating a 100-minute interdisciplinary ritual video focused on both current pandemics: COVID-19 and racism. We care using the current pandemic to turn this opportunity for:
(1) … Creating a simple, stand-alone, exquisite 100-minute ritual background electroacoustic video – with 14 assorted compositions, video & storyline (spoken word, rap & and comic “bubbles” streams);
(2) … Then add our full slate of performers (who were organized for my April I Santa Cruz 2020 New Music Festival) to create the complete work through virtual reality if we again cannot present live together for the scheduled annual UCSC April in Santa Cruz New Music Festival 2021;
(3) … Present our live ritual performance in the Music Recital Hall together for the scheduled annual UCSC April in Santa Cruz New Music Festival 2021 if at all possible (April in Santa Cruz New Music Festival 2021 – Friday April 30, 2021 – Improvisational Freedom);
